The college added a minor in precision ag last year and will add a minor in meat science and a major in food science this fall.

Pork Quality Symposium will feature talks on how to elevate pork in the marketplace.

Joseph Sebranek, Iowa State University; Kevin Myers, Hormel Foods Corporation; and Jeff Sindelar, University of Wisconsin-Madison will be the featured speakers in the Processed Meats Symposium.

This workshop will take place prior to the AMSA 68th Reciprocal Meat Conference in Lincoln, NE on Saturday, June 13th.

Courses will be held May 19-21 at Texas A&M University and October 19-21 at Iowa State University.

Dr. Sosnicki will address RMC attendees during the Pork Concurrent Session on Monday, June 15, 2015 with a unique look at “The Science of meat quality – an applied focus."
