Danny O'Malley, founder and president of Before the Butcher, shows off plant-based pepperoni. O'Malley says the supplier of plant-based meat products has expanded its partnership with Dot Foods to distribute their pepperoni to foodservice distributors across the U.S. Before the Butcher also has partnered with Chicago’s Rosati’s Pizza to roll out a national test of their plant-based pepperoni and Italian sausage.

Double R Brand Foods' Holmes Smokehouse line of sausage products has grown to include not only whole sausage products but also packs of pre-sliced smoked sausage in various flavors, says Rodney Roth, CEO of Double R Brand Foods. The slices are available in different widths, with 8-millimeter slices being the most popular, Roth says.

James Davidson, chief commercial officer for Genera, says the company will complete a $350 million expansion of its Tennessee packaging production facility in 2025. Genera's molded fiber packaging is made from miscanthus grass and is compostable and recycleable.

Mosner Family Brands has recently finalized equipment upgrades at its New Jersey production facility and is expanding its footprint and production capacity at its Hunts Point operation in the Bronx.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — These news items were gathered on the expo floor March 19 during the Annual Meat Conference 2024.
AMC 2024 attracted a record crowd for the March 18-20 event, with more than 2,300 attendees and 140 exhibitors from across the meat and poultry industry value chain along with allied industry partners on hand.
