Consumers don’t often agree on much. But recent research highlights 96 percent of consumers do agree that they consider it important to know where their fresh pork is produced. With this in mind, Prairie Fresh® will rebrand this summer to showcase how the fresh pork brand purposefully connects every step between its farms and family tables around the world, featuring the new “Our Farms. Our Commitment.” tagline.
This Prairie Fresh rebranding publicly underscores the brand’s commitment to values that are important to consumers, such as ensuring the well-being of animals, the environment, employees and the communities where the pigs are raised and the pork is processed. And research shows that after learning about the benefits of that commitment, 3 in 4 consumers are more likely to purchase Prairie Fresh products.
The new Prairie Fresh rebranded product lines include:
Prairie Fresh Signature Pork – The wide range of classic cuts and pre-seasoned products that feature a variety of innovative flavors.
Prairie Fresh Cook-In Bag Pork – Cook-In Bag products offer foolproof cooking and unparalleled convenience, with Signature flavors consumers crave.
Prairie Fresh Natural Pork – The all-natural, high-quality cuts are minimally processed and contain no artificial ingredients.
“Consumers agree the ‘Our Farms. Our Commitment.’ tagline resonates with them. After viewing our newly redesigned labels, consumers expressed strong purchase intent – nearly 80 percent – across all product lines,” says Scott Webb, vice president, domestic sales and marketing, Seaboard Foods. “Our research tells us that our new packaging and tagline embody key benefits that are important to consumers, such as food safety, consistent quality, humane animal handling, sustainable practices and transparency.”
As awareness of these newly rebranded Prairie Fresh products increases, Seaboard Foods, which markets and sells the brand and is part of the connected food system with strategic partner Triumph Foods, anticipates retail interest in carrying the product line to increase because it aligns with what consumers are asking for in their fresh pork.
