The United States has won a World Trade Organization ruling, as the WTO ruled that China has failed to comply with an earlier ruling against its tariffs on U.S. broiler chickens. Reuters reports that the country will be required to lower its tariffs or appeal the decision within 30 days.
The tiff between the two countries dates back to 2010, when China imposed anti-dumping duties on U.S. broiler chicken products. The United States went to the WTO in 2011. China lowered the duties on chicken in 2014 after losing a WTO ruling, but the U.S. argued that the country had not done enough to comply with the WTO.
