The FDA is advising consumers not to eat, and restaurants and food retailers not to sell, and to dispose of cultured mussels from East River Shellfish Inc. from harvest location PE 4-C that were harvested Aug. 14 and shipped Aug. 15 to retailers in Ill., Mass. and N.Y.
Sesame was always an ingredient and should have been declared as an allergen starting Jan. 1, 2023, as it was added to the list of the major food allergens.
