The program is open to National Chicken Council, National Turkey Federation and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association members and is intended for poultry and egg industry members that have made a significant advancement in operational excellence in a safety and/or health innovation.
The facility will process over 10,000 metric tons of material each year and create 10 new full-time jobs in regional Tasmania, and up to 80 jobs during the construction phase.
In this role, Dr. Charles Starkey will also be acting as director of research for the Fats and Proteins Research Foundation, the rendering industry’s research organization.
