The new METTLER TOLEDO Safeline X33 series X-ray systems use a single vertical x-ray beam and utilize new high-sensitivity detector technology that allows the integration of a low power (20W) X-ray generator. With an improved user experience, sustainability credentials and highly functional design, the X33 series system is the most advanced development in inspection capability for food safety assurance.

The new X-ray inspection system provides the tools to assist companies in complying with industry standards such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and is ideally suited to the inspection of small- and medium-sized packaged products. The X33 series system offers not only foreign body detection, but is also able to perform gross mass measurement for calculated portion control, ensuring product integrity. This combined model simultaneously protects profitability and ensures product safety and quality.

The X33 series system delivers outstanding contamination detection of foreign bodies, including glass, metal, stone, bone and high-density plastics such as rubber compounds, even when products are wrapped in aluminum foil or metalized film. The user-friendly, icon-driven intuitive interface ensures that product menus can be set up or adjusted by line operators without the involvement of an engineer and automatic product set up can be readily completed within minutes, maximizing production uptime.

The system’s hygienic design follows GMP, NSF and EHEDG principles and complies with FDA regulations and EU Directives. IP65 is standard on the X33 series systems, with IP69K available as an option for harsh wash down environments. Quick-release belts have no hidden traps where bacteria can breed, thereby ensuring optimum protection against pathogenic microorganism growth.
