American Meat Science Association (AMSA) Professional and Emeritus members recently casted their votes for three new directors and a president-elect. The new board members will begin their terms at the end of the AMSA 2013 66th Reciprocal Meat Conference (RMC) in Auburn, Alabama this June.
The new members to AMSA’s Board of Directors include:
President Elect:
- Brad Morgan, Ph.D., Senior Food Safety and Production Enhancement Specialist, Zoetis
Directors:
- T. Dean Pringle, Ph.D., Professor, The University of Georgia
- John Scanga, Ph.D., Senior Technical Consultant, Elanco Animal Health
- John Stika, Ph.D., President, Certified Angus Beef, LLC
Robert Delmore (2013-14 President), Scott Eilert (2013-14 Past President), Casey Frye (Treasurer) and directors Betsy Booren (2014 RMC Chair), Steven Larsen, Susan Shivas, Dana Hanson, Ann Brackenridge and Jerry Cannon will continue their terms on the board along with the newly elected members. 2012-13 Past President Benjy Mikel will finish his board service at AMSA’s 66th RMC.
