Wixon, a manufacturer of seasonings, flavors, and technologies for the food and beverage industry, has announced the appointment of Alan Hubble as Director of Purchasing.
Hubble has more than 25 years experience in global sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement in the food and consumer product industries. He will assume responsibility of purchasing strategies for all of Wixon’s three divisions, including packaging, ingredients, and third party manufacturing.
Prior to joining Wixon, Hubble served as Procurement Director for La Brea Bakery, a subsidiary of Swiss-based ARYZTA AG, and Bay Valley Foods, formerly a part of Dean Foods. He began his career with Dean Foods as a corporate buyer, and rose to Director of Purchasing, aiding in aggressive company growth of more than nine billion dollars.
“My goals at Wixon are to continue growing the Purchasing Department and developing systems and procedures to prepare the company for the next avenue of developments,” said Hubble. “Leading the Purchasing team, I will employ a strategic focus on enhancing Wixon’s value-added portfolio with its existing and future vendors.”
“With Alan’s industry experience in a variety of food sectors, we look forward to him bringing added value to the company via the Purchasing Department,” said Wixon Chief Financial Officer Peter Caputa.
Hubble is a member of IFT and ASTA and has an educational background in finance and economics. He currently serves on the board of governors for The Children’s Dyslexia Center of Metropolitan Chicago and the board of directors for The Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago.
Hubble and his wife, Marti, have one adult son. They will be relocating to the Milwaukee area from Lombard, Ill.
