Superior Farms is supporting its new East Coast push by partnering with Shaw’s and Star Markets in Boston to support the Lamb Jam tour by the American Lamb Board. With www.BostonChefs.com, dozens of top local chefs will compete for the third annual event on Sunday, February 19, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge. Lamb-loving chefs will create luscious lamb dishes paired with local beers from area breweries and compete for the ultimate title of Boston Lamb Master and an opportunity to battle other top lamb loving chefs at a Master Lamb Jam this fall. Chefs who woo the crowds and win the hearts of attending media judges will take home awards for Best in Show and People’s Choice. Attendees will also enjoy butchery demonstrations by Chefs Chris Douglas & Nuno Alves of Tavolo and Butcher Josh Pert from the Meat House.
“By partnering with a retailer like Shaw’s & Star Market, we’re hoping to drive home that consumers can enjoy fabulous lamb dishes in restaurants as well as make easy and delicious meals themselves,” said Angela Gentry of Superior Farms. “Shaw’s is offering lamb on special this week, and regularly features American lamb in their advertisements.” Lamb recipes are available at www.superiorfarms.com
Shaw’s own nutritionist and dietitian Jennifer Shea will be helping judge the event.
