Diestel Farms uses Facebook to give back to community

Diestel Family Turkey Ranch recently donated 500 pounds of turkey to Revolution Foods, an Oakland-based organization aimed at providing healthy meals to school children. Diestel Family Turkey Ranch ran a one-month promotion on its Facebook page asking customers to “like” its page in return for a donation to Revolution Foods. In just one month, Diestel Turkey gained 1,500 Facebook fans and in turn donated 500 lbs. of turkey to Revolution Foods.

According to Joan Diestel, owner of Diestel Family Turkey Ranch, “Revolution Foods has been a wonderful partner for us. We fully support their mission of providing healthy school lunches to children, so to be able to offer a promotion that benefits their cause was very exciting for us.”
