Jay Lang, President, Charkit Chemical Company, announced that effective immediately, Mark Leasure has accepted the role of Business Development Manager for Charkit Chemical of Norwalk, CT, a subsidiary of LBB Specialties LLC.

In this role, Mr. Leasure will be tasked with leveraging his market knowledge to identify opportunities for new business development in the Intermountain States region. This will include prioritizing and nurturing potential new customers and enhancing and expanding relationships with current customers by applying Charkit’s problem-solving expertise to their specific business challenges.

Lang stated, “Mark has a strong understanding of the market trends for the industries in which we compete, and he knows the competitive situation. We believe that his industry experience and record of professionalism will be a very positive asset to Charkit’s overall growth strategy.”

Prior to joining Charkit, Leasure was Sr. Market Manager for Diversey Care, a total cleaning solutions provider, where he managed activities in four states. Earlier in his career, he was a District Sales Manager for Univar USA, the largest chemical distributor in the USA; and held Sales Professional roles for Nexeo Solutions LLC and Coast Southwest Inc.

Leasure graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah with a B.S degree in Business Marketing. He has participated in hundreds of hours of training programs related to sales, manufacturing and laboratory work, including UCLA’s training program, “Skin Care Ingredients for Cosmetic Professionals.” He is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, Idaho Milk Processors Association and the Utah Food Industry Association.
