The U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (USRSB) opened early bird registration for its 2019 General Assembly Meeting set for April 30 – May 2 in Fresno, Calif. The meeting coincides with the release of the group’s Sustainability Framework, America’s first-ever resource to demonstrate continuous improvement in sustainability for the entire beef value chain. 

The USRSB General Assembly meeting attracts hundreds of attendees, including cattle ranchers, beef packers and processors, retail and foodservice companies, scientists, and NGOs from across the United States who have an interest in continuously improving beef sustainability. 

Highlights of the 2019 USRSB General Assembly Meeting include:

  • A Beef Industry Sustainability Tour featuring a beef processing facility and cow-calf operation in California’s Central Valley
  • Unveiling of the USRSB Sustainability Framework, a toolbox for individuals and companies across the beef value-chain who desire to assess and continuously improve beef sustainability
  • Keynote address exploring “The Leadership Dividend in Sustainable Beef: The Compelling Case for Action” by Rabobank’s global animal protein strategist Justin Sherrard
  • USRSB Board of Directors Meeting featuring the induction of new leadership and official business of the USRSB
