A woman attending a Philadelphia Phillies game was slightly injured when she was struck in the face by a hot dog. The red hot rocket in question was fired out of a hot dog gun by the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies mascot. It is unknown at the moment if Phanatic holds a license to operate the cured meat cannon.

Kathy McVey was attending a Phillies game when the incident occurred. The projectile from the wiener Winchester knocked off her glasses, gave her a black eye and sent her to the emergency room, Deadspin reports. The Phillies have given McVey free tickets to an upcoming game. The Phanatic is not expected to face criminal charges… this time.
