Micreos, the world's leading supplier of bacteriophages, announces Robin Peterson has been appointed North American Sales Director. Peterson has extensive experience with food safety interventions, most recently with Corbion-Purac where she focused on the meat and poultry industry. She has a strong technical sales background and holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agriculture from the University of Florida.
"I am very excited to be part of the Micreos team and to continue with their introduction of phage technology to the food industry," she said. "It's a very exciting and a rapidly expanding field. Phages are a natural, organic solution to controlling food borne pathogens and treating the growing problem of antibiotic resistance."
Dirk de Meester, Micreos Food Safety Director of Business Development, said, "Her appointment strengthens Micreos' presence in North America. She will be based in Atlanta, GA, where she can react quickly to meet increasing customer demand for our novel food safety interventions against Listeria and Salmonella, and to exceed customer service expectations."
"In addition, she will help us introduce some of the new products we have in our innovation pipeline to combat other foodborne pathogens such as Campylobacter, E. coli O157:H7 and other STECs," he said.
