2015 has been a year of significant growth for Interstate Warehousing. Two expansions have been under construction simultaneously, and both are now open and receiving product.
The Interstate Warehousing Indianapolis (Franklin), IN facility added more than 309,000 square feet of frozen and refrigerated warehouse space to the building, which has expanded four times in the 10 years since it was originally built in 2005. This expansion also brought with it more than 46,000 new pallet positions and another 54 dock doors to handle the additional truck volume coming into and out of the facility. The Indianapolis (Franklin), IN warehouse is the largest facility in the Interstate Warehousing network, at 900,000 square feet.
Interstate Warehousing’s Nashville (Murfreesboro), TN warehouse also underwent a significant expansion, adding more than 155,000 square feet to its footprint. This facility was originally built in 2006, and has now undergone two expansions due to customer growth and new business opportunities. More than 23,000 pallet positions were added to the warehouse, along with 31 additional dock doors. The Nashville (Murfreesboro), TN multi-temperature building now stands at 400,000 square feet, with additional room on site and master planning in place for additional expansion as our business and customers continue to grow.
