Cloverleaf Cold Storage will open a new refrigerated warehouse and distribution center in Monmouth, Il. The 235,000 square foot building is adjacent to the Smithfield Farmland Monmouth plant. Construction of the warehouse officially started with a groundbreaking ceremony led by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn.
Cloverleaf is a family-owned company that dates from 1934 and provides public and contract storage and processing services to the food industry. Cloverleaf has 15 facilities located in the central and eastern United States and was recently ranked as the 10th largest cold storage firm internationally by the IARW, an industry trade group.
