JCG Foods, an affiliate of Koch Foods Incorporated was the successful bidder for substantially all the assets of Cagle Foods at an auction that was held on May 10, 2012.

Cagle's Inc. announced that it and its wholly owned subsidiary Cagle's Farms Inc. have filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
