JBS USA, held a press conference this afternoon to discuss details of its agreement with Canadian beef processor XL Foods, regarding the XL Lakeside facility in Brooks, Alberta, Canada.
South Korea announced it is lifting an eight year ban on the imports of Canadian beef. The ban, enacted after a Canadian cow was found to have mad cow disease in 2003, will be lifted to allow imports of beef from cattle aged 30 months or younger.
