MGP Ingredients has named Terri Roberts its first foodservice sales director to help develop an additional channel for plant-based products.

MGP Ingredients, Inc. has announced the launch of Proterra Crumbles, a line of chef-seasoned plant-based protein crumbles developed for foodservice operations.

Mitacek brings research experience in traditional meat and plant proteins, including work with novel plant protein ingredients used as dairy and meat substitutes.

Sean Wirtz will fill MGP's newly created position of director of business development and integration.

Slated for completion in late 2023, the new plant will be capable of producing 10 million pounds of ProTerra per year.
