Patrick McGady has been appointed sales manager for Handtmann Inc. McGady, a seven year Handtmann employee, moves from his role as territory manager for the Upper Midwest and is now responsible for the sales planning and activities of all territory managers in the United States and Puerto Rico and for all domestic trade shows and advertising initiatives.
According to Thomas Kittle, Handtmann president, “Patrick’s experience, deep technical knowledge, and innovative collaboration skills made him a great partner with his customers and will be vital in his new role. I look forward to his leadership as the power of technical partnerships and trustworthy relationships become even more important in changing markets with compressed R&D windows and an unrelenting emphasis on product quality, traceability, accountability, and efficiency.”
Handtmann also celebrated the grand opening of its new U.S. headquarters facility in Lake Forest, Ill., and dedicated the Albert Arthur Handtmann Technology Center on April 26. The event, hosted by Kittle, was attended more than 100 customers, industry partners and Handtmann team members from the United States and Germany.
Kittle identified the theme for the day’s events in his opening remarks by noting that “our long-held Handtmann commitment to ideas for the future is fueled by what I think is a unique combination of creative focus and generations of entrepreneurial spirit.”
The new Handtmann headquarters is a 36,500 square-foot facility that almost doubles the size of the previous location in Buffalo Grove, Ill., where the company was situated for 21 years. According to Mr. Kittle, the Handtmann Technology Center was “planned from the ground up to operate efficiently and enable collaborative and creative work with our Handtmann team and our customers and partners.”
