According to Kevin Howard, vice president, sales and service for The Americas, the decision was a natural one for many reasons.
“The launch of the São Paulo area facility, which follows Provisur’s new location in Bangkok, Thailand, underscores our commitment to bringing improved services to meat and poultry processors in the fastest-paced markets in the world,” he explained. “As processors in the South American region expand their business through growth and acquisitions, we want to be able to offer them the highest level of support.”
Provisur’s Indaiatuba facility will be managed by Mario Amadeo, sales and service manager Latin America, who will work with the company’s existing agent network to support customers throughout the region.
“Provisur is recognized for its customer service, and this location allows us to do that in this crucial, thriving part of the world, whether it’s a forming or slicing system from Formax, a mixer/grinder from Weiler or a meat recovery system from Beehive,” he remarked.
Both Amadeo and Howard emphasize the timing of the opening and the implications of expanding Provisur’s global footprint in the area.
“Ultimately, we want to get closer to our customers and be there on the ground to help them increase productivity, food safety and yields with the lowest cost of ownership,” Howard said. “It’s a dynamic time for South America, and for Provisur, too, as we expand with the region’s marketplace.”
