Omron Electronics LLC has introduced an ultra-small, fixed-mount multi-code reader, model V400-R, that automatically recognizes commonly used bar codes and 2D matrix codes to simplify setup. Measuring just 58 by 46 by 24.2 millimeters, the palm-size metal body reader mounts almost anywhere. A built-in aiming guide (green LED) quickly locates the reading area for recognition within a 60mm working distance and 52 by 41 millimeters field of view. The reader scans codes twice to reduce discrepancies and ensure data accuracy. The V400-R reader integrates a visible red LED light source with 1.3 mega-pixel CMOS imaging for highly accurate reads of 14 standard bar codes and 2D codes.
