Reuters reports that the deal, announced in June, has Marfrig paying OSI $680 million for the assets, which should represent nearly $2 billion in additional annual sales for the processor. The EU ruled that the acquisition would not significantly affect competition due to limited market shares and/or limited horizontal overlaps between the companies’ European activities.
