The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service has updated guidelines to assist establishments and non-profit organizations that donate or receive donated meat or poultry products.
The guidance addresses issues that have been presented to FSIS related to food donation, including products eligible for donation, labeling donated products and donating products produced under exemption.
