In addition to the Defender 4000 Band Saw that effectively stops the saw blade with no damage to the saw at a rate 10x faster than the blink of an eye, Hollymatic will be rolling out two new items at Process Expo 2019 in October. Their Defender PC1500 Poultry Cutter will be on display and live demos will be performed on-site at the show. Hollymatic will also introduce their new Hi-Yield 14” Meat Saw that provides a space-saving compact footprint for supermarkets, butcher shops and processors alike.

Using patented, blade-braking technology, Hollymatic’s Defender PC1500 Poultry Cutter comes with special conductive gloves that are worn by the operator. In the event that the glove inadvertently comes in contact with the blade, the patented electronic braking mechanism will activate and stop the blade within .015 seconds, greatly reducing the risk of operator injury.

The Hollymatic Hi•Yield 14” Meat Saw has features that separate it from conventional saws. With swing-open construction, cleaning and blade changing is a breeze. Stainless steel upper and lower wheels are standard and can be easily removed for faster cleaning as well. The one-piece frame design improves sanitation and provides rigidity for added strength. Peaked upper housing helps prevent water damage and double-flanged wheels provide blade retention and tracking. Hollymatic’s new Saw also features safety interlocked doors.
