BioSafe Systems has announced the hire of Bill Flynn as Food Safety Specialist for its MPS Intervention Team. Working from Arizona, Bill has a technical focus on post-harvest solutions and food safety. A lifelong resident of the desert southwest, Bill and his wife Kristin raised their four children just minutes from the agricultural fields of Ventura County, CA. A food safety manager by trade, Bill studied biology and chemistry at the University of New Mexico.

Bill has developed a unique food safety skill-set ranging from the public health sector where he worked as Environmental Health Manager of the fifth-largest county in the US, to private companies where he managed food safety programs at major retailers, while directing global food safety initiatives for Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL).

“Food safety cannot be ignored,” says Bill. “These days the conversations need to be had from ‘seed to feed’. My goal with BioSafe Systems is to bring value to current and future clients through thought-leadership and by demonstrating that food safety programs don’t have to be complicated, frustrating or overly complex. My plan is to show growers and processors the positive ROI from doing the right thing systematically in a sustainable fashion.”

When not working or spending time with his wife and family, Bill enjoys restoring old cars and boondoggling in his classic Volkswagen camper-van.
