Health Canada has issued a Letter of No Objection (LONO) for the use of SaniDate FD as an antimicrobial agent in the processing of fruits and vegetables, as well as for use in fish and seafood processing in federally registered facilities. This product was previously granted approval for use in meat and poultry processing in May 2016.

SaniDate FD is a peroxyacetic acid microbiocide developed for use in federally inspected processing facilities as an antimicrobial agent to control microorganisms in process water and ice used in the production and preparation of meat, poultry, processed and preformed meat, fish, seafood, and fruits and vegetables. When used according to label directions, SaniDate®FD complies with conditions of use approved by Health Canada for this product.
