Leading global supplier of flexible packaging and lidding films, KM Packaging, has been shortlisted in the highly competitive Export Business of the Year category at the prestigious Northamptonshire Business Awards, run by Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by leading logistics company Kuehne + Nagel.
Held annually, the awards recognize excellence in business, with the Export Business of the Year award celebrating the strength and growth of international businesses that have demonstrated significant, sustained increases in their export and/or import activity.
KM Packaging delivers advanced flexible packaging solutions and expertise to food manufacturers around the globe with export sales representing 40% of its business. Core to the success of its growth in international markets is the comprehensive way in which the KM team researches, visits and supports export customers and markets.
Charles Smithson, KM Packaging Managing Director, said: “We are extremely pleased that KM Packaging has been selected as one of just three finalists for such a prestigious award.
“It is very gratifying to have our efforts in expanding the company’s global export sales recognised. It is testament to the hard work of the KM Packaging team in building strong, long-term customer relationships wherever in the world our customers may be.”
The final stage of the comprehensive multi-phase judging process for the category took place on June 29 when KM Packaging gave a twenty-minute presentation detailing their successes on the international stage. There was also a question and answer session with the judging panel.
The awards will be presented at a dinner on September 13 at the Park Inn, Northampton. Being shortlisted also puts KM Packaging in contention for the award’s overall prize for Business of the Year.
