GS1 US expert to discuss tips for evaluating and implementing blockchain for supply chain applications

GS1 US will host a non-technical, cross-industry webinar highlighting blockchain applications for supply chains. This includes discussion of early use cases already being tested such as food traceability, documenting environmental sustainability, preventing the circulation of counterfeit drugs, and guaranteeing conflict-free or fair wage products. The featured speaker will be Melanie Nuce, senior vice president of corporate development, GS1 US. During the webinar “Blockchain: Foundational Knowledge and Practical Applications,” Nuce will discuss practical business applications for supply chain management and how to prepare for future deployments. She will draw on her expertise in blockchain, retail and supply chain to highlight why GS1 Standards, the most widely-used supply chain standards in the world, are a foundational element for blockchains to accurately share data.
