Branding Iron Holdings, the parent company of Rochester Meats and Holton Meats, has appointed Karen Twillmann as its new Director of Marketing.

Twillmann comes to Branding Iron most recently from DuPont Nutrition & Health, where she led NAFTA Global Accounts Teams to double digit growth in 2015, and was responsible for growing a $50 Million line of their specialty proteins business while she served as the Senior Global Product Line Manager. Other employers in her 15 year Marketing career include Sun Edison Semiconductor (formerly MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc.), and Monsanto, all located in the St Louis area.

Twillmann’s responsibilities at BIH include managing product launch initiatives to enhance the company’s brands and creating innovative solutions for their customers, analyzing industry trends for both foodservice and retail customers, as well as product management and marketing communications.

She also currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Lindenwood University in St Charles, MO teaching graduate courses including International Management, and International Marketing. Twillmann received her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Washington University in St Louis, MO.

About her new role, Twillmann commented, “It’s a great time to be at the company. I am very excited about the launch of our new premium steak burger in our retail channel and anticipate innovative new solutions in our food service channels also.”

Twillmann works out of the company’s Sauget, IL office.

Branding Iron also has appointed Jeff Sullivan as the new Southeastern Retail Business Manager.

Sullivan most recently served at Carolina Pride Foods as the Director/VP of Processed Meat Sales and Marketing. Other employers over his 30 years in the industry include Smithfield Foods, Advance Brands, and Bryan Foods (a division of Sara Lee).

For BIH, he will operate out of Pendelton, S.C. focusing sales efforts within the grocery industry for accounts that conduct business within the Southeastern region of the United States.

When asked about his new role, Sullivan commented, "Branding Iron is an exciting place to be because of the opportunity to leverage operational expertise and industry leading food service channel knowledge against the retail grocery segment, promising to create growth not only for our company but for our customers as well."
