Catelli Brothers, one of the nation’s largest veal and lamb processors, has teamed with its Collingswood, NJ restaurant neighbor chef Angelo Lutz, known as “The Kitchen Consigliere,” to offer fully cooked pork sausage meatballs to retail and food service customers.
Chef Lutz, who operates The Kitchen Consigliere Café and is widely known for his popular cooking videos, puts what he calls a “flavorable spin” on his unique meatballs by blending top quality pork with Old World Italian sausage and his special seasonings.
“This is a very versatile premium product,” says Tony Catelli, president of Catelli Brothers. “Made from the finest ingredients, these pork sausage meatballs can be served as an appetizer, as a main course or in a sandwich,” he explains. Because preparation is quick—the fully cooked product can be microwaved, sautéed, simmered or baked—Catelli predicts the pork sausage meatballs will be popular with customers of both retailers and food service operators.
Chef Lutz, who learned his craft in his family’s South Philadelphia kitchen, says, “I am delighted that Catelli Brothers is distributing my pork sausage meatballs throughout the country. I take pleasure in serving patrons in my restaurant, but now many, many more people can enjoy this special product.”
Catelli Brothers is packaging the fully cooked 12-ounce pork sausage meatballs 12 to a tray at retail and in five-pound bulk packages for food service companies. The firm also offers veal meatballs and beef meatballs as part of its fully cooked products line.
Catelli Brothers is the U.S. meat division of the Fontelli Food Group, which is the largest fully integrated veal and lamb company in North America.
