Bettcher Industries announces the appointment of Dennis M. Romer, CFSP as director of sales for the company’s line of foodservice equipment. As head of sales, Romer will be responsible for managing the product distribution to the restaurant, quick-serve and non-commercial segments. 
 
Among the product lines manufactured by Bettcher for these segments are batter-breader machines for fresh, in-store preparation of breaded items, and Whizard Power Knife tools for precision-slicing of gyros, shawirma and donner kabobs.
 
Dennis Romer has nearly 25 years of experience in the food processing foodservice industries, with a focus on new product introductions, product management, sales and marketing. 
 
Romer’s activities in the foodservice industry have focused on the successful placement of cooking systems and other equipment with key restaurant chain customers. Prior to joining Bettcher Industries, his positions include managerial roles at The Broaster Company, Henny Penny Corporation, Lancer Corporation and The Manitowoc Company. 
 
In addition to his industry experience, Romer holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (marketing concentration) from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He is a Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP) and was a 2009 recipient of the NAFEM President’s Award from the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers.
