Jason’s Deli has introduced J.D. Nuggetz, the first gluten-free chicken nugget available in a fast casual restaurant. Jason’s Deli, a family-friendly dining experience in 28 states, now offers J.D. Nuggetz in all locations. Perfect for any customer who cannot eat gluten or prefers not to, J.D. Nuggetz are a healthy solution for families looking for a gluten-free kid favorite. Field research shows adults also find them an attractive alternative for breaded chicken on Jason’s Deli’s popular menu of salads.
Produced exclusively for Jason’s by Purdue, J.D. Nuggetz are antibiotic- and gluten-free. The chicken breast and rib meat nuggets are breaded with cornmeal and salt, instead of flour.
J.D. Nuggetz is one more innovative first for Jason’s Deli, following its other industry-firsts of removing artificial trans-fats, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and dyes.
“The Jason’s Deli team understands that today’s dietary limitations are varied and families are challenged now more than ever to find convenient, healthy options,” said Jamie Cohen, Brand Management Director at Jason’s Deli. “J.D. Nuggetz is another way we can accommodate our guests. From healthy to indulgent, we like to think there is something for everyone at Jason’s Deli.”
Gluten-free offerings are designed for those with gluten sensitivities or those who prefer to avoid gluten for nutritional reasons. J.D. Nuggetz is the latest option on Jason’s Deli’s expanding gluten-free menu. Other choices include any sandwich served on Udi’s gluten-free bread, plus the variety of salads for which Jason’s Deli is famous.
The Jason’s Deli team and manufacturing partners take all precautions not to cross-contaminate gluten-free and non gluten-free foods. Gluten-free or gluten-sensitive customers are advised to inform their order taker of their preferences and the Jason’s Deli team will take necessary precautions.
