Butterball LLC recently named Al Jansen as the company’s vice president of integrated business strategy, effective June 16, 2014.
As vice president of integrated business strategy, Jansen will be responsible for the continued development of Butterball’s strategic analysis and design efforts to fully integrate, align and optimize the processes and resources of the company’s live operation, manufacturing, and customer enhancement process. Jansen will also oversee management of the company’s competitive benchmarking program across all functions to include live operations, further processing, sales and marketing.

Jansen brings more than 20 years of experience in the food industry. Prior to his new position at Butterball, Jansen was employed by Perdue Farms for 18 years and held a variety of leadership positions within the company including vice president of sales club & mass merchandisers and general manager of the turkey business unit as well as several sales and operations leadership roles. Before his successful career at Perdue, Jansen was with Agrimetrics as a senior director of broiler programs.
Jansen graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Economics and attained his MBA at the University of Baltimore. He will relocate from Ocean City, Md., to the Raleigh, N.C., area with his family.
