Universal Pasteurization Company, a provider of outsourced High Pressure Processing (HPP) services, announced that it will be holding a HPP Summit and Open house on April 8, 2014 at its Villa Rica, Ga. location just outside of Atlanta.
The summit will provide food processing industry professionals an opportunity to learn how to benefit from HPP from industry leaders as well as to speak with current users about their successes in adopting HPP to assure food safety, dramatically increase shelf life and create the clean label and lower sodium products that consumers are demanding.
“We are looking forward to hosting what promises to be an exciting session, said Jeff Barnard, President of Universal. ‘Dr. Errol Raghubeer, Avure’s VP Microbiology and Food Technology and pioneer in many HPP applications will be a keynote speaker. Several notable HPP users will also speak about their experiences and successes in application areas such as RTE and RTC meats, refrigerated foods and juices. It’s an ideal setting for food industry marketing, operations, engineering, quality and safety professionals to learn about the benefits of HPP and HPP outsourcing from an experienced team.”
The summit will include a tour of Universal’s facility in Villa Rica, GA where attendees will see first-hand two Avure 350L HPP systems in operation and learn about the benefits of outsourcing HPP in order to minimize start-up costs, control on-going costs, ensure redundancy of both systems and facilities and maintain operational flexibility.
