Belmont Meats, a leader in the manufacturing and processing of foodservice and retail protein products, has appointed an additional vice president to help chart the company’s continued growth across Canada and the United States.
Doug Oakey has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Retail Sales North America, from his previous position as a senior sales director. He has more than 25 years’ experience as a senior executive management professional in the protein business. He joined Belmont in 2012 as the senior director of business development and currently leads its North America retail division.
“Doug has proven himself to be a relationship builder who believes in working closely with clients to achieve mutually beneficial success. We’re excited to have him take on even greater responsibility as we continue to deliver the highest quality meats to a growing base of customers,” said Belmont CEO Paul Roach.
Belmont’s made-to-specification beef products — including a diverse line of premium burgers and steaks — can be found at top retailers, club stores, leading restaurants and foodservice distributors across North America and International markets as private label offerings and Belmont-branded solutions.
Belmont, which launched in 1966, is celebrating its 50th anniversary, focusing on quality and innovation.
