OSI Chairman and CEO Sheldon Lavin was recently recognized by India’s Vision World Academy with a Global Visionary Award. The awards ceremony was held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Global Visionary Award honors visionaries in various fields who have turned their dreams into reality by demonstrating perseverance and persistence to accomplish their goals. After a successful career in finance, Mr. Lavin guided the OSI Group from a humble domestic food company to becoming a global multibillion dollar food processor, with more than 60 locations in 16 countries. OSI-Vista Processed Foods is an OSI Group company that has been part of OSI since 1995 and operates eight locations throughout India, offering custom processing of meat, fruit and vegetables.

This was the fifth year the Academy has honored distinguished achievers with this award to acknowledge their achievements and inspire the next generation to follow in their footsteps.
